We are committed to orchestrating all of our operations in the most ethical and responsible manner possible. Thus, we consider our due diligence on the origin and provenance of all of our materials to be of utmost importance.

The gemstone business differs significantly to the centralised diamond business. Geographically speaking, a plethora of gemstones are mined in a multitude of locations, and in many cases - these gems are mined artisinally. The rapid pace at which these stones are mined, traded and cut, make it extremely difficult, on many occasions, to attribute them back to their initial location of origin.

Nonetheless, any business is about communication - how much more so in the gem business. When we do not source stones in the rough, we engage in dialogue with our selected, trusted and respected suppliers who openly state the provenance and integrity of the material they sell.

The suppliers and cutting facilities that we collaborate with comply fully with corresponding national (state imposed) and international (trade imposed) laws and regulations.

As we deal exclusively with natural gemstones, we highly value our cooperation with the most prestigeous gemological labratories in the world. Full disclosure of each and every gemstone is of prime importance in preserving transparency in the trade.

We take security seriously and have taken every possible precaution to ensure an unparalleled shopping experience. Your credit card information is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and stored with an AES-256 encryption. All PCI-DSS requirements are followed and implemented to comply with leading & accepted industry standards.

Getting ring sizes right can occasionally be tricky, understandably so. It might be a gift or surprise to a loved one and asking certain sensitive questions can often be overly revealing of your future intentions.

If you have the luxury of visiting your local jeweller together with the recipient, we have a match made in heaven! A simple reading of the desired finger is all you need and you’re good to go.

If you have no means of acquiring a direct physical reading, then we move onto alternative methods, which tend to be highly efficient, discrete and, in fact, accurate! Please have a look at our Ring Size Guide for more information on how to obtain an accurate reading.

Alternatively, temporarily borrow a ring you know the recipient wears on the desired finger and get it sized at a reputable jeweller near you. Please ask the jeweller to state the sizing system used when taking the measurement, to avoid any potential confusion.

Please be advised that we cannot guarantee that all rings, especially custom orders can be re-sized, hence re-sizing evaluations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Nonetheless, when manufacturing a custom-piece we always take re-sizing into consideration and keep you informed on its possibility before confirming the final design. If a specific design will be considerably difficult to undergo resizing, you will be notified about this and can accordingly make an educated decision about how you would like to proceed. Kindly take note that our re-size allowance entails a limitation of up to three (3) sizes, either up or down, to the initial size quoted.

Please kindly note that providing an accurate ring size prior to the manufacturing of your custom piece is your responsibility.

A flat resizing fee of £65 will be charged for 18k gold rings and £120 for platinum rings. Please note that depending on the intricacy of the piece and inclusive stone settings, the resizing fee may subsequently be higher than the flat rates mentioned above.

Please note that the majority of the pieces made by Simonian are categorised as high-end & fine jewellery. This means that each piece requires care when being worn and, of course, whilst stored.

Wearing your jewellery on a daily basis can often lead to the accumulation of oils, dust and other minute particles within small spaces; such as under settings, in between prongs etc. This results in the diminishing brilliance of your stones and creates a disturbingly dull appearance to your jewellery.

To maintain the same lustre and brilliance that your piece arrived with and deserves indefinitely, we recommend the following simple methods:
(Please be advised that the methods below are for 18k Gold and Platinum alike)

1) The best and most effective home remedy for cleaning your jewellery is with lukewarm water and mild soap detergent.
Mix the water and soap together, allowing your jewellery to sit in the solution for 30 minutes. Apply a few drops of soap onto a soft bristled toothbrush and gently scrub your piece until you have completed all surfaces, whilst attempting to clean out smaller crevasses. Please note that using anything other than a soft-bristled toothbrush may result in visible scratches. Once you are done with cleaning your piece, rinse it thoroughly under warm running water. After you have successfully rinsed your piece, dab your piece dry with a soft absorbant or polishing cloth. We recommend using a microfibre cloth as it is both absorbant but also removes oils effectively.

2) For occasional deep cleans, we also recommend dipping your jewellery in an ammonia & water solution.
Please bear in mind that ammonia is a strong basal liquid that can corrode your jewellery if not used properly. For the creation of the solution we advise six (6) parts water and one (1) part ammonia. Do not leave your piece to sit in the solution for longer than 1 minute. It is advisable to use a strainer to avoid coming into contact with the solution. Once the minute of cleansing has passed, rinse your jewellery thoroughly under running water. To complete the process dab the piece dry with a soft absorbant or polishing cloth.

There may be instances where the above-mentioned methods of cleaning may not be as effective as desired. For more effective results, please consider cleaning your piece professionally.

Diamonds above 0.30 carats are, most commonly, accompanied by a gemmological certificate of your choice. We prefer and advise all clientele to abide by GIA and/or HRD certificates.

Please note that stones under 0.30ct are not accompanied by certification when set on our pieces. If you would like stones under 0.30 carats found on your piece to be certified, kindly let us know in advance.

Please be advised that smaller accent diamonds (melee diamonds) have been scanned thoroughly by our suppliers, to confidently exclude synthetic/CVD diamonds from being mounted on any of our pieces. We provide full disclosure on all of our products and we are not in the synthetic diamond & gemstone trade; you can rest assured that all of our offered diamonds and gemstones are natural.

After your free initial consultation, we obtain a comprehensive idea of what you are looking for. We then proceed to the initial designing phase, during which we create various hand-drawn sketches and/or 3D renderings of your piece. Once we enter this phase, a charge of 400$ is incurred, corresponding to a designing fee. This fee will be applied and added onto the agreed & conclusive price of your piece.

Our delivery times vary on the specific pieces you are looking to order. Items that are in stock are estimated to take a total of 5-7 business days, whereas pieces that are made to order may take up to 3-4 weeks to complete. Conclusively, completely custom-made pieces are estimated to take anywhere from 4-6 weeks.

Of course, we understand that exceptions exist and we will always do our best to accommodate your requirements when time is of the essence. Please get in touch with us the soonest possible to be able to serve you to the best of our capability.

Our priority is to facilitate any transaction you desire to make with us.

For this reason, we accept payments via major credit & debit cards such as Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard & American Express. We also accept payments through PayPal.

If you would like to arrange a purchase via bank transfer, it would be our pleasure to assist you with further details.

Please note that we unfortunately do not provide any finance plans for the purchase of any of our products.

Fluorescence refers to the strength, or intensity, of the diamond’s reaction to UV radiation.

Diamonds that fluoresce when exposed to UV radiation exhibit a visible fluorescent glow, usually blue in colour. High levels of fluorescence occasionally result in a milky appearance of a diamond, although it is widely agreed that fluorescence does not impact the optical properties of a diamond (fire and brilliance) negatively. On the contrary we frequently find that stones of lower colours (I colour and lower), tend to appear whiter as a result of their increased fluorescence.

Any consultation regarding the purchase of a stone or the creation of a bespoke piece is completely free.
